Parish Administrator, Fareham

SACRED HEART, FAREHAM are recruiting for a PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

Hours of work:  Part time – 20 hours per week

Salary:  £12 per hour

 

The role

Will support a busy parish office with administrative services including:

General administrative services to ensure the smooth running of the parish: organising church diary, appointments and church meetings, ordering of supplies, arranging maintenance, keeping church registers up to date, supporting sacramental programs including Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and RCIA.

Managing all Parish communications via post and email and drafting and distribution of parish communications

Financial administration including arranging payment of bills and invoices

Updating and maintaining all parish registers.

Updating and coordinating property maintenance for parish buildings, liaising with tenants and property rental agencies as required.

Manage bookings for the parish hall.

Providing assistance to the parish priest with all parish matters.

 

We are looking for someone who is:

Sympathetic to the teachings of the Catholic Church, with first class administrative and organisational skills.

Experienced and confident in the use of Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel.

Self-motivated, diplomatic and approachable with a flexible attitude able to work without supervision and often alone.

Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Parish Cleaner, Fareham

SACRED HEART, FAREHAM are recruiting for a PARISH CLEANER

Hours of work:  Part time – 4 hours per week

Salary:  £11.44 per hour

We are looking for a Cleaner to clean the Presbytery and Parish office each week to include a vacuum throughout, a clean of all bathrooms, toilets and ensuite facilities (including floors), cleaning of kitchen surfaces and floor, dusting throughout and emptying bins, where applicable.

It will include periodic cleaning of the inside of windows.

Cleaning materials will be provided.

 

You will be:

Able to work to a high standard of cleaning with particular emphasis on hygiene expected.

Hardworking

Reliable

Trustworthy and able to work on own initiative to a consistent and high standard.

Youth Ministry Worker, Maidenhead

Maidenhead / St Joseph’s, St Edmund Campion, St Thomas Moore

Youth Ministry Worker / Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Youth Ministry / Coordinator to join our team and help us achieve future growth in the parish in the spirit of ‘Let us Dream’.

As the Youth Ministry Worker/Coordinator you will co-ordinate Parish Youth Groups and introduction of new programmes as approved by the Senior Leadership Team.

You will work with  young people aged 7 – 18, to fully equip them as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ, rooted in the community of His Body, the Church, so that, empowered by the Spirit, they are willing to share the joy of the Gospel with others in word and deed, serving as Jesus serves and loving as he loves.

To develop youth groups across the Parish, this role will ensure that our various youth groups act together seamlessly and provide an environment in which their Faith will grow and expand.

Based at the Parish Offices at St Joseph’s, Maidenhead, you will work on an annualised contract basis of 1040 hours per annum (average working hours of 20 per week). Flexibility is required as the role requires some weekend and evening working.

Salary: up to £13 per hour.

Appointment to this role will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory DBS clearance.

Data Protection Lead, Portsmouth

We are seeking a Data Protection Lead to join our team and help us ensure that we comply with the relevant data protection laws and regulations, and respect the privacy and dignity of our clergy, staff, and volunteers.

As the Data Protection Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day data compliance, including data breaches and responding to data subject requests
  • Providing a responsive, high-quality service to colleagues across the organisation, responding to GDPR and record management and providing regular guidance through internal media channels.
  • Developing and delivering training, workshops and personalised support to parishes and teams across the organisation to improve data protection compliance and record management across the charity
  • Making recommendations to ensure risks are mitigated as well as ongoing compliance,

You will be working with the Head of Governance to review and develop data protection policy and practice across the organisation including supporting the implementation of relevant policies, processes and procedures, maintaining an appropriate review cycle.

This is a full-time, permanent position, based at the main office in Portsmouth. The salary is £35,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
