Vicariate for Vocation

Bishop’s Support of Clergy

The Department for Clergy includes two distinct responsibilities; one for all chaplaincies other than those in educational establishments, and one led by the Vicar for the Clergy which is the principal mechanism through which the Bishop looks after the wellbeing of the clergy, both active and retired. The Vicar for the Clergy leads an office of paid staff, advisers and support staff and they provide a number of services and activities to support the holistic well-being of the clergy.
