Vicariate for Vocation

Vicariate for Vocation

“God has placed in our hearts such an infinite desire for happiness that nothing can satisfy it but God himself. All earthly fulfilment gives us only a foretaste of eternal happiness. Above and beyond that, we should be drawn to God” (YouCat 281). Through Baptism, we are each called to become holy, a saint, to be happy forever with God in Heaven. Flowing from his or her Baptism, every human person has a unique calling, or vocation, given by God. This is the personal and unrepeatable way we can respond to God’s love in his Body, the Church. This call might be to the Sacred Priesthood, to religious or consecrated life, to marriage, or to lay apostolic celibacy.

The Vicariate for Vocation is led by Mgr Canon Jeremy Garratt
