Apostleship of the Sea Ship visit, Southampton

On July 2nd, Stella Maris (Apostleship of Sea) welcomed Bishop Philip Egan as he visited the Port of Southampton. During his visit to the port he boarded a large container ship and spoke with seafarers. Bishop Philip blessed a number of rosaries as well blessed members of the crew. Following his visit to the port, Bishop Philip was hosted for lunch at the Stella Maris Pastoral Centre attached to St. Joseph's Church in Southampton. Martin Foley (Apostleship of the Sea National Director) and Captain Esteban Pacha (Apostleship of the Sea Acting Chair of the Board of Trustees) along with chaplains and volunteer members of Stella Maris Southampton and Southern Ports region were on-hand to greet the bishop.
