 Confirmation is a key time for young people in their deepening relationship with Christ. It is a real opportunity to engage with young people and to walk with them on their faith journey. After Confirmation, they need to be drawn more fully into the life of the parish - this may be building on a ministry that the young person is already involved with or it may be something new. This will allow the faith of the young person to develop further.
Together with Monika Chmelova and Nicky Stevens, two of my colleagues in the Department who are Advisors for Catechesis, I am keen to know how Parishes and Pastoral Areas are working towards Confirmation with their young people.

Receive the Gift - Day for Confirmation Catechists
An opportunity to look at how we prepare our young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We will focus on prayer, the use of scripture and music and liturgy, as well as what to do post-confirmation. The day will be an opportunity to meet with other confirmation catechists and to share good practice.
