CATECHESIS
-
Christ is at the heart of catechesis... (cf., Catechesi Tradendae no. 5; Catechism of the Catholic Church, nos. 426-428; 1698)
-
The aim of catechesis is therefore to put people in communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ... (cf. Catechesi Tradendae no. 5)
-
Catechesis is one of the dimension of the ministry of the word... (cf. Dei Verbum 24; The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church, I B 2, IV C 1.3; General Directory for Catechesis, nos. 35, 41, 50-52, 57, 61, 64, 69,71, 77, 82, 97, 108, 120, 121, 260)
-
Catechesis is an essential "moment" in the process of evangelization... (cf. General Directory for Catechesis, no. 63)
-
Catechesis therefore involves an ongoing, indeed lifelong, process of integral Christian formation... (cf. General Directory for Catechesis, no. 84)
ADULT FORMATION
-
The catechesis of adults is the principal form of catechesis... (cf. Catechesi Tradendae no. 43).
-
The catechesis of adults draws its own inspiration, courage and joy from the Gospel of Jesus... (cf. Adult Catechesis in the Christian Community, no. 2)
