Marriage Preparation:  Jersey

Marriage Preparation on the island is delivered by three married couples, and consists of three 2 hour sessions shared over three evenings. The formation is loosely based on the original Hallam programme, and includes sections on Feelings, Listening, Change & Conflict, Family Influence, Intimacy, Sexuality & Sex, and The Sacrament of Marriage. This last section is normally delivered by a member of the clergy.

The couples use a variety of tools to assist them in their formation - interesting handouts, stones, which are used to represent family members, and music which includes Christy Moore's 'The Voyage'.

A variety of books, leaflets and magazines on Marriage are also made available.

Refreshments are provides during each session and an evaluation form is completed on the final evening.
