Catholic Grandparents – St Johns Cathedral

Father Ansel  welcomed the St John's Cathedral Grandparents  at Holy Mass today 16th of January 2019. The group met for the second time, immediately after the midday mass celebrated by Fr Ansel. Although 12 grandparents were expected , 3  sent apologies whilst 8  gathered in front of the Blessed Sacrament chapel to pray the rosary for their grandchildren and all the grandchildren of the parish. They finished the rosary with the St Michael Archangel prayer and lit candles to represent their ongoing prayers.

Home- made vegetable soup was the next thing on the menu . This was followed by a few spontaneous interviews and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. The grandparents  will be  meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of every month after the midday mass. The format is to pray the rosary and then have soup in the Discovery Centre. All are welcome.
