Time Out for God

The Living our Faith campaign in the diocese has been a great success, thanks to the commitment of thousands of Catholics in all our parishes who have pledged money so that we can: train our future priests, ensure our lay catechists and helpers are properly trained, and help the faith of our young people to grow and develop.
The Committee that overseas the giving of grants wishes to encourage young people who may be considering taking ‘Time Out for God’ year to do one that is specifically designed to deepen their knowledge and love of God and the Church. For example: This could be working abroad with a Christian organization (not necessarily Catholic), attached to a school or some form of missionary work, the possibilities are endless. The committee will look at each application that meets these aspirations.
The form that you are invited to fill in and available on the Diocesan website under Living Our Faith, is designed so that you might explain fully what it is you want to do and how it will deepen your faith and love of God and the Church.
