Restoration of St Thomas More Hartley Wintney

11th April 2017

Parish Priest, Fr Simon Thomson writes:

Ten and a half months after the devastating fire at St Thomas More Church, Hartley Wintney in May 2016, the reinstatement and sanctuary reordering have been completed in readiness for Holy Week. Since the fire Sunday Mass has been celebrated in the local Anglican parish hall for which the Catholic community are eternally grateful.

On Tuesday 20th June Bishop Philip will consecrate the church and new altar. In the meantime the parish are rejoicing that they finally have their church back beautifully restored.
