"Safeguarding Children, Young People, & Vulnerable Adults"
(First Edition / February 2001)

DOES YOUR PARISH HAVE A Child Protection POLICY?

Do you know what the Diocesan Child Protection Procedures are?

Do you know who is the Bishop's Representative for Child Protection?

How would you respond to a child who tells you he/she is being abused?

What if you are worried about a child or worried about an adult's behaviour to children in your parish?

Does your parish adhere to good practice as recommended by the Home Office & Diocesan Guidelines?

Are your volunteers screened and vetted? Do you have the Diocesan Forms?

Could you cope with an adult telling you of their experiences of abuse in childhood?

What if a convicted child sex offender joined your parish? Do you know what to do?
