Clergy Appointments - September 2015

 

The following clergy appointments will take effect from 8th September 2015. Do pray that in their new appointments the Lord will bless these priests and their communities abundantly.

 

  • Fr. Leslie Adams to SS. Thomas of Canterbury and Thomas More, Emsworth and St. Joseph, Havant
  • Fr. Bruce Barnes to St. Francis de Sales, Wash Common. Fr. Bruce will become the Coordinating Pastor of the West Berkshire Pastoral Area
  • Fr. Marcus Brisley to Holy Ghost and The Immaculate Conception, Crowthorne and Sandhurst
  • Fr. Gerard Flynn to St. Michael and All Angels, Leigh Park
  • Fr. Stanislaw Gibzinski to Our Lady of Peace and Blessed Dominic Barberi Earley. Fr. Stan will become the Priest Chaplain to Reading University.
  • Fr. Jozef Gruszkiewcz to Our Lady and St. Wilfrid, Sacred Heart and St. Patrick, South Wight
  • Mgr. James Joyce to Our Lady of Peace Wargrave and St. Thomas More, Twyford
  • Fr. Serafino Lanzetta to St. Mary Gosport and St. Columba Bridgemary
  • Fr. John Lavers to Sacred Heart, Bournemouth
  • Fr. Paul Lyons to St. Gregory the Great Alresford. Fr. Paul will work full time in the Department for Clergy
  • Mgr. John Nelson to St. Swithun Wells, Eastleigh
  • Fr. Emmanuel Odoemene to St. Thomas of Canterbury, Newport and St. Saviour, Totland Bay
  • Fr. David O’Sullivan to Corpus Christi, Wokingham
  • Fr. PJ Smith to Sacred Heart and St. Philip Howard, Fareham
  • Fr. John Paul Lyttle as Assistant Priest to St. John’s Cathedral, Portsmouth
  • Fr. Daniel Lloyd (Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham) to North Hinksey parish.
  • Mgr. John Nelson will become the Coordinator of the Framework for Collaboration in succession to Mrs. Caroline Virgo (effective 1st September)
  • Fr. Tony Day will become Assistant Priest in the North Downs Pastoral Area. He will reside at Blessed Hugh Faringdon, Faringdon
  • Fr. Jonathan Redvers-Harris will become Parish Priest of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Cowes. He will continue to reside at St. David’s, East Cowes and to be Parish Priest
  • Fr. Philip Carroll will become Assistant Priest at Our Lady and St. Edmund, Abingdon
  • Deacon Stephen Morgan becomes the Academies Conversion Project Leader (with immediate effect). Deacon Stephen will remain as Oeconomus/Financial Secretary but will step down as Secretary to the Diocesan Trustees and as Head of the Department for Administration on 31st August 2015. I hope to be able to announce his replacements in that role shortly
