Chrism Mass 2018

There are so many gifts at the Chrism Mass! As Vocations Director I find one of the most uplifting is to see our seminarians serving at the altar. They are with some of the people to whom, one day soon, they may well be ministering as their priests. They are working among the priests of the Diocese with whom they will one day, please God, be brothers. They are assisting our Bishop, Philip, to whom they will promise obedience at their Ordination; he inspires and encourages them by his words and example. Most of all, they are serving our Lord Jesus, whose voice and call they strive to discern every day. I pray at this great Mass for other young men who are wondering if this is what calls them to be. Please join in prayer for them, and for everyone at next month’s Discernment Conference. And please do let me know if ever I can be of help or if you want to know about vocations.
