What a joy it was for us all to see Bishop Crispian again and to have him lead our celebration of the 26th Annual Mass for the Papal Knights and Dames of the Order of St Gregory The Great and St Sylvester on the 19th September at St John's Cathedral.
Bishop Crispian welcomed Knights and Dames from the Dioceses of Portsmouth, Arundel and Brighton, Leeds, Southwark and Westminster and their families and friends. It was a most inspiring and uplifting Mass. The Bishop concelebrated with Monsignor Thomas Mc Grath, Father P.J. Smith and Father Ansel D'Mello. He reminded us that the Papal honour was conferred on us for our commitment and commission to the Gospel in our work and he asked us to continue to witness to the Gospel in our lives and to pray for Pope Francis and the Church at this difficult time.
Anne Connolly was the Cantor, organist was Mark Burgess, reader: Dame Kate Burke, Prayers: Mike Whitty.
