Friday 15th June – Winchester Cathedral


A Service of Light with Bishop Crispian and the Bishop of Winchester, Michael Scott-Joynt

The Diocesan Choir rehearse before the service under the guidance of the Diocesan Director of Liturgy, Paul Inwood

Benedictine monks from around the Diocese sang the Magnificat Antiphon Sanctificavit Dominus and the Salve Regina during the service

The Canons of the Chapter of St John's Cathedral lead the procession into the Cathedral

The Anglican Bishops of Southampton and Reading, the Rt Rev Paul Butler and the Rt Rev Geoffrey Cottrell

The Diocesan candle was brought in to the acclaim of "Lumen Christi, Deo Gratias!"

Each Pastoral Area candle was lit.

 

Each candle was presented at the Diocesan Mass on May 21st
